Dan Gottlieb is a Brooklyn native, artist, illustrator and multidisciplinary creator whose career has taken him through comics, toy design, theater, voice acting and creator-owned publishing.

Gottlieb previously worked for DC Comics and has spent years producing illustration and design work across a variety of projects. His creative background extends well beyond traditional comic art, including toy design, Off-Broadway stage performances and voice-over work.

More recently, Gottlieb turned his attention toward building worlds of his own. He created, co-wrote and illustrated I Am Omega: The Beginning of the End alongside co-author Thomas Casbarro. Published in 2022, the supernatural fantasy story follows Amanda, a woman whose increasingly disturbing nightmares reveal themselves to be visions connected to Omega—the last Guardian Angel and a threat to creation itself. The book was conceived as the beginning of a larger story.

Gottlieb has also contributed a Frankenstein illustration to a commemorative Classics Illustrated project and continues to develop new creator-owned material. His current work includes The Cosmic Misadventures of Galaxystar, a self-published series presently in development.

Outside of his professional artwork, Gottlieb has combined his love of superheroes with charitable appearances, working with the Fallen Officers Fund and local children’s hospitals while portraying characters including Captain America and Iron Man.
