Carmen Costa is a writer and educator from the Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey Area. He founded Harpoon Creative Industries and published Issue #1 of Proctor in 2023 with two intentions: First, he wanted to launch a comic that told a story about love, loss, and tragedy using his favorite monsters in a way that seemed uncommon in today’s comic book landscape. Second, he wanted to set in motion a plan to bring independent publishing to the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey area that sat juxtaposed to traditional publishing. With a spirit deeply rooted in yesteryear’s D.I.Y. / Punk Rock scene, he wanted to create a community for authors and artists to grow and learn from one another.

Stacy Figueroa
As an illustrator, I create my own artwork through traditional art and digital art. My artwork is done on procreate and for traditional art I like to use Gouache paint. Most of my work is anime fan art, comic fan art, car paintings, and portraits. I sell my own art prints, keychains, pins, postcards, acrylic stands, lanyards, washi tape, postcards and hair clips. I am also a part-time art instructor teaching art to young kids and teens at a small Great Neck school in Long island.
Technigods
Our central character is not a hero; he’s been a soldier, a sniper, and an inmate, among other things. His past is complex and intertwined with a greater story. Other than Val, his current companions know little of Cliff aside from rumors.
They hope he can lead them to safety, but his personal connections to the Techni-God that has recently arisen could lead them all to their doom.
Violent Visual
Violent Visual is the haunting and stunning brainchild of Ken Miller, a 20+ year veteran of the underground metal and hardcore music scene of Philadelphia. His styling of familiar pop culture characters and nightmarish scenes through vivid monochromatic designs have made him a standout at conventions across the Northeast.
