Super Jersey Comic Expo 2026 Exhibitor Terms and Conditions

Nuff Sed Events, LLC (hereinafter "Nuff Sed") is pleased to offer exhibitor opportunities at the Super Jersey Comic Expo (SJCE) to be held at Iron Peak Sports & Events in Hillsborough, NJ on April 18 & 19, 2026. These Terms and Conditions (the "Agreement") govern your participation as an exhibitor (the "Exhibitor") at the SJCE.

1. Indemnity and Hold Harmless

Exhibitor assumes full responsibility for and agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nuff Sed, Iron Peak Sports & Events, and their respective employees, agents, and affiliates (collectively, the "Indemnified Parties") against any and all claims, losses, damages (including attorney's fees) arising out of or caused by Exhibitor's installation, removal, occupancy, or use of the exhibition space or any part thereof. Exhibitor further agrees to hold harmless the Indemnified Parties from any loss or damage to Exhibitor's merchandise or injuries sustained during the SJCE.

2. Exhibitor Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations received before January 1, 2026: Exhibitor will receive a full refund.

Cancellations received between January 2nd and March 1st, 2026: Exhibitor will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations received after March 1, 2026: No refunds will be issued.

3. Booth Regulations

No items can be placed in the aisle space at any time, as this is a fire safety hazard.

Any damage to the facility not reported to SJCE staff by 10:00 AM EST on April 19, 2026, will be the sole responsibility of the Exhibitor.

Load-in will occur on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM unless otherwise notified.

4. Prohibited Items and Conduct

SJCE reserves the right to remove any material deemed offensive, including depictions of sexism, racism, homophobia, or unsuitable content for a family-friendly environment. Nudity, weapon sales, table sharing without prior approval, subletting, and negative behavior are strictly prohibited. A.I. Generated Art of any kind is strictly prohibited in Artist Alley. Any artist found to be utilizing Artificial Intelligence to sell art will be removed from the show without a refund and will be prevented from future Nuff Sed Events, LLC conventions and expos.

5. Cosplay Consent and Merchandise

SJCE recognizes that "Cosplay is Not Consent." Exhibitor conduct towards cosplayers must be respectful. SJCE only allows the sale of properly licensed and fan art merchandise. Exhibitor is responsible for the legality of their items, government licenses, and insurance. The sale of unlicensed or "bootleg" merchandise is strictly prohibited; by booking your booth you are agreeing to these terms and certifying that you will not sell prohibited items.

6. Exhibitor Responsibilities

Exhibitor must be completely packed up and removed from the venue by 8:00 PM EST on Sunday, April 19, 2026. A late removal fee of $50/hour will be charged.

Exhibitor is solely responsible for ensuring their merchandise is appropriately licensed and complies with all copyright and trademark laws. Documentation may be requested.

7. Space Assignment and Cancellation by SJCE

SJCE reserves the right to determine final space assignments. While booth type is guaranteed, the exact location may vary (we don't plan to, but things happen) depending on the needs of the event. SJCE will notify Exhibitor of any changes. If SJCE cancels the event, Exhibitor's sole remedy is a full refund of paid fees. No refunds will be issued due to weather, absenteeism, low attendance, or other unforeseen circumstances.

8. Insurance and Compliance

Exhibitor agrees to comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including sales tax collection and any necessary business licenses. Nuff Sed and Iron Peak Sports & Events are not responsible for Exhibitor safety or property. Exhibitor is solely responsible for obtaining appropriate insurance and proper documentation for their business.

9. Miscellaneous

No tape of any kind is allowed on floors or any part of the venue.

10. Generative A.I. Art

To protect the integrity of Artist Alley and ensure attendees are buying work created by human artists, AI-generated artwork is not permitted for sale, display, commission, or promotion at this event. For the purposes of this event, “AI Art” includes any visual content (illustration, painting, comic art, character art, backgrounds, logos, prints, merchandise designs, etc.) where the final image or a substantial portion of the image is created by a generative model from a prompt, reference image, or automated synthesis.

This includes (but is not limited to) images created using generative AI systems such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, “Nano Banana,” Midjourney, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion, Firefly text-to-image, or any other tool that generates new imagery rather than editing artwork you personally created.

If the tool “makes the picture for you,” it is not allowed.

We recognize that many mainstream creative programs contain “AI” or automation features. Use of the following is permitted only when it is used to edit, refine, or prepare artwork you created, and does not generate new artwork or replace the act of drawing/designing:

  • Standard digital art and design software: Procreate, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Clip Studio Paint, etc.

  • Non-generative workflow actions such as:

    • Color correction, levels/curves, sharpening

    • Cropping, resizing, formatting for print

    • Background removal (from your own art), masking, selection tools

    • Noise reduction, de-dusting, file cleanup

    • Vector cleanup of your own linework

    • Layout, typography, mockups, print pre-press setup

Key standard: These features are acceptable when they function like enhanced tools (selection, cleanup, formatting) and do not produce novel “painted” content that you did not create.

The following are prohibited at Artist Alley and within Vendor booths (unless a booth is explicitly approved for non-Artist-Alley commercial product categories that do not involve art prints—if you want a universal ban across the floor, keep this universal):

  • Any prints, posters, books, cards, stickers, apparel designs, or merchandise featuring AI-generated imagery.

  • Prompt-to-image or text-to-image outputs, even if you “touched it up” afterward.

  • Image-to-image generation (using your art or someone else’s art as a reference) that produces new rendered output from a model.

  • Generative fill / generative expand / inpainting that creates new visual elements (characters, faces, hands, costumes, backgrounds, props, etc.).

  • “Style transfer” or “make it look like” model outputs.

  • Using AI to generate a “base,” “sketch,” “pose,” “background,” “texture,” or “final render” that is then traced, painted over, or composited into the final piece.

  • Selling or distributing AI-generated character art or “original characters” produced by a generative model.

By exhibiting at this event, you confirm that:

  • The work you sell or display is created by you (or your represented artists) through traditional or digital methods without generative AI imagery.

  • You own or have secured the rights/licenses to sell the work.

  • You can, upon request, provide reasonable verification of process (e.g., layered files, sketches, progress shots, timelapse, source files) for questioned pieces.

We do not require you to submit process files proactively, but we reserve the right to request verification if a concern is raised.

If we determine, at our sole discretion, that prohibited AI-generated artwork is being sold or displayed:

  1. You will be removed from the show immediately without a booth refund.

  2. You will not be permitted at future Super Jersey events.

Because tools evolve quickly, we will apply the core test:

  • Editing/cleanup of human-made artwork = allowed.

  • Generation of new imagery by a model = not allowed.

If you are unsure whether a specific feature or workflow crosses the line, the safe move is: don’t bring it, or be prepared to demonstrate that the art was created by you without generative output.

  1. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties concerning the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written.

  1. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.

BY PURCHASING YOUR SPACE, EXHIBITOR ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THEY HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH IN THIS AGREEMENT.
