Meet longtime comic artist Bud LaRosa in New Jersey at Summer Spectacular on August 29th!
Veteran comic book artist and inker Bud LaRosa has worked throughout the Marvel Universe on titles including Amazing Spider-Man, Deadpool, X-Man, X-Force, Iron Man, Daredevil and Ghost Rider/Blaze: Spirits of Vengeance. His career began in the mid-1980s with Neal Adams’ Continuity Studios before he joined Marvel Comics under John Romita Sr. as one of the “Romita Raiders.” During that period, LaRosa also worked on backgrounds for acclaimed inker Keith Williams, gaining valuable experience within Marvel’s bullpen before building an extensive freelance career.

Bud LaRosa is a veteran comic book artist and inker whose professional career stretches back more than four decades.
A Brooklyn native, LaRosa began creating artwork at a young age and later studied formally at the Art Students League of New York. By the mid-1980s, he was working professionally for Marvel Comics, DC Comics and Neal Adams’ Continuity Studios.
In 1986, LaRosa was hired by legendary Marvel artist and art director John Romita Sr. for an on-staff position as one of Marvel’s “Romita Raiders.” During his early time at Marvel, LaRosa also contributed background work for Keith Williams, giving him hands-on experience alongside established professionals while developing his craft inside the Marvel offices.
As his workload expanded, LaRosa transitioned into full-time freelance work and went on to build an extensive bibliography as an inker throughout the Marvel Universe. His credits include Amazing Spider-Man, X-Man, X-Force, Iron Man, Webspinners: Tales of Spider-Man, Ghost Rider/Blaze: Spirits of Vengeance, Daredevil and numerous Spider-Man and X-Men-related projects.
He also contributed inks to Marvel’s 1994 Deadpool miniseries written by Mark Waid and illustrated by Ian Churchill, part of Deadpool’s early solo publishing history years before the character became a worldwide pop-culture phenomenon.
With decades of Marvel history behind his name, roots stretching from Neal Adams’ Continuity Studios to John Romita Sr.’s Marvel bullpen, and credits spanning some of the most recognizable characters of the 1990s, Bud LaRosa joins the comic creator lineup at Super Jersey Summer Spectacular ’26.
