Brian O’Halloran is an American actor and producer whose career became closely tied to the films of Kevin Smith after starring as Dante Hicks in Clerks in 1994. He went on to reprise Dante in Clerks II and Clerks III, helping make the character one of the most recognizable in independent cult cinema. In addition to Clerks and Mallrats, O’Halloran also starred in Vulgar, a 2000 film written and directed by Bryan Johnson and produced through View Askew Productions, in which he played the lead character Will Carlson, also known as Flappy and Vulgar. That role helped show a darker and more dramatic side of his screen work beyond the View Askewniverse fan favorites.
