Fresh out of high school, Barbara joined DC Comics and quickly moved into the editorial side of the company, working during a period when the publisher’s offices included some of the most important names in comic book history. Her career placed her alongside figures such as Carmine Infantino, Jack Miller, Robert Kanigher, Mort Weisinger, Julius Schwartz, Joe Orlando, Bob Kane, Bill Finger, Bob Haney, and Tony Abruzzo.
